Andrés Barreneche is an Innovation Economist and Policy Analyst working at the OECD’s Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation since 2014. He is a co-developer of the upcoming OECD-BCG-Insead survey on the diffusion of artificial intelligence technologies in firms. In addition, he manages the OECD’s STIP Compass project, which gathers in one place qualitative and quantitative data on national STI policies. He holds a B.Sc. from the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) in Industrial Engineering, an M.A. from Ritsumeikan University (Japan) in Economics and a Ph.D. from the University of Paris-Sud (France) in Management Science.
